EU project SUTRA, full name Sustainable TRansport in Adriatic coastal areas and hinterland.The project is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund, through the Cross-border Cooperation Program Interreg Italy - Croatia.The project brings together 10 partners from Italy and Croatia, with the City of Caorle, Italy, and the partners in addition to the City of Split are:from Italy: the City of Chioggia, the City of Ravenna, the City of Pescara, the Community of the Municipalities of Bassa Friulana and the Gorizia Institute of International Sociology;from Croatia: Split-Dalmatia County, the City of Poreč and the Municipality of Vodnjan.The main goal of the project is to promote multimodality of passenger transport in the program area by jointly developing concepts of sustainable urban mobility and new cross-border connections by implementing actions aimed at improving the use of alternative means of transport that better connect coast and hinterland. The SUTRA project also aims to bring the contents offered by the City closer to the citizens and tourists, and to connect local settlements and remote parts of the city with an alternative form of public transport.
